Say goodbye to the screen
when your time is up.

GoodbyeScreen gently blurs distracting websites once you've spent your daily time limit. You can still scroll — you just can't get sucked back in.

How it works

1

Add a site

Click the toolbar icon and add the site you're on, or type any URL like reddit.com.

2

Set a time limit

Give each site its own daily budget — anywhere from 5 to 120 minutes.

3

The screen fades out

As you approach the limit the page eases into a blur, until it's fully unreadable. Time only counts while the tab is open and focused.

4

Take a break

The site stays blurred through a short cooldown, then your budget resets so you can start fresh.

Simple by design

Unlimited sites

Add as many websites as you like. No caps, no upgrades.

Free to use

No account and no sign-up — just install it and go.

Scrolling still works

The blur is a soft overlay — it never freezes the page or blocks it outright.

Per-site control

Every site gets its own limit, cooldown, and blur ramp. Tune it in Settings.

Your data stays yours

GoodbyeScreen has no servers and no accounts. Your site list, time limits, and usage counts are stored only in your own browser.
